Tansi! I am Kaitlyn Bitternose, and a 2‑Spirit Cree and Saulteaux individual from Treaty 4 Territory. I am an emerging writer, sensitivity reader, and a former member of Audible's Indigenous Writers Circle (2022). Through this experience, I gained valuable insight into the publishing industry. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and have completed an editing course through Southeast College in Saskatchewan.
For the past two years, my work has focused on sensitivity reading. I support authors in creating authentic and respectful representation of marginalized communities, while helping them preserve the integrity of their own voices and stories. I don't limit myself to a single genre as I've worked with Fiction, Fantasy, Comic Books, and Non‑Fiction, and I enjoy the unique challenges each form brings.
As a writer, I understand the responsibilities that come with shaping a narrative, and I approach every project with care, empathy, and cultural awareness.
