I am Huron-Wendat and Italian and live on Atikamekw traditional territory.
I am a freelance Certified Translator and provide English to French translation, comparative editing (i.e. editing translations), as well as French editing and proofreading.
I specialize in various fields and work on a wide range of documents such as general, fiction (children's books by Indigenous authors), nonfiction, cultural (self-guided, tour, museum labels), education (school curriculum), medical (research study, professional development), EDIA materials, newsletters, academic journals and corporate communications to name a few.
I have a B.A. translation and a B.Ed. I taught ESL and FSL for six years before starting my own business.
I am a member of several professional associations in addition to the Indigenous Editors Association--ACES: The Society for Editing, Editors Canada, the Network of translators in Education, the Ontario College of Teachers and OTTIAQ.
